Terms & Conditions
These are the terms and conditions of our agreement and apply to all purchases of products by you from Lesters Nursery World via our website and should be read very carefully. These terms may vary from time to time and you should check before making new purchases.
1. Orders & Delivery
Please note that we only deliver goods to UK addresses.
Once you have created an account with lesters-nurseryworld.co.uk you can order any item by clicking on the place order button. All prices are reflected in UK pounds sterling and include VAT at the current rate.
Items that show as ‘Stock Available’ are usually dispatched within one working day on a next working day delivery.
Items that show as ‘Pre-Order’ will be dispatched on the approximate date advertised on the product page. Once the order has been placed we will endeavour to keep you updated with the delivery timescale
Items that show as ‘7-10 Days’ are in stock with the supplier and will be dispatched as soon as we have taken delivery.
Items that show as ‘Direct from Supplier’ will be delivered on the approximate date advertised on the product page. We will contact you once the order has been placed with further delivery information.
We offer free standard next working day delivery on all orders over £50 to England, Wales, and parts of Scotland excluding the Highlands and Islands (i.e. zone 1). When multiple items are ordered, items showing as 'in stock' will be dispatched together with items showing as '7-10 Days' or ‘Pre-order’ once all items are available.
For all deliveries please have help at hand as the driver may need assistance. The driver is not employed by Lesters Nursery World and although he/she will deliver your goods into your home, he/she may not deliver orders into a specified room. When you receive your goods, it is important that you inspect them before signing for the delivery. If you are suspicious that the goods are damaged, or the box containing the goods looks badly damaged, then you should sign for them as damaged or ask the courier to wait while you examine the goods. If the driver is unable to wait or the system does not allow you to sign the goods as damaged please take pictures in the presence of the driver. In this event, please contact us immediately so that we can resolve the situation with the courier. It is important that all original packaging is kept until you are satisfied with the goods and are sure that they will not need to be returned. Couriers will not accept goods if they are not packed securely.
Items sent with a courier will be delivered during working hours on Monday – Friday. We aim to dispatch items that are in stock within one working day, you will receive an email once we have dispatched the order informing you that the items are on their way. You will receive further communication from the courier (email and SMS) with live updates on the status of your delivery. If you have not received your items that are marked as available within 3 working days and had no communication from us or the courier please email or telephone us on 0161 720 7227..
Parcel delivery zones and supplemental charges are shown below. Delivery to zones 2 and 3 is usually on a 48-hour basis. The supplement for zones 2 and 3 is £8. This will be automatically added on the payment page.
Zone 1:England, Wales and parts of Scotland, excluding Highlands and Islands. The zone is made up of all postcodes not mentioned in zones 2 and 3.
Zone 2: The Highlands and Islands of Scotland - postcodes IV, HS, KA27-28, KW, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH17-26, PH30-44, PH49-50, ZE.
Zone 3: Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and Isles of Scilly - postcodes BT, IM, TR21-25.
Your account will be charged for payment at the time your order is placed. The purchase area of our site is secure; this means that we use industry standard SSL technology to allow for encryption of all sensitive information such as your name, address and credit card details.
Please note that we can only accept payment from UK registered cards.
3. Cancelling orders and Returns:
You have the right to cancel any order made with Lesters Nursery World via our website, and a full refund will be given providing the items have not been dispatched. We recommend you send an e-mail to email@example.com or call us immediately on 0161 720 7227 should you wish to cancel your order.
Any website order* can be cancelled in writing (email, fax or letter) within 28 calendar days after receiving your order under the Distance Selling Regulations. All items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in a resellable condition. Postage costs involved in returning cancelled orders are at the expense of the consumer. This is generally £15 per box. This does not affect your statutory rights.
*This does not include personalised items or furniture that has been assembled by the manufacturer.
All items bought from Lesters Nursery World have been manufactured to comply with statutory legal requirements and relevant safety standards of the United Kingdom. All our products covered by a manufacturing warranty for anything between 6 months – 7 years, depending on the manufacture and product. Should you have any problems or are uncertain on how to use any of our products please email or telephone us.
Many issues can be resolved by sending out replacement parts. Occasionally items may need to be returned to us or the manufacturer for inspection; providing all instructions governing the use of the products have been followed and there has been no misuse, the faulty item will be repaired or replaced. Our aim is to give the best service possible, if an instance should arise where you wish to find out more information or have a query on any product please contact us.
We recommend that you keep the boxes should the products need to be returned. If needed, a box can be sent out, but this will incur a £8 carriage charge.

To the best of our knowledge the product descriptions on this site are accurate and up to date, but due to product development, design and specification changes, these may vary from time to time. The images on our site are to assist with your selection and you may find slight variation in colour. All weights and measurements are approximate.
Lesters Nursery World will not sell, transfer or give freely your personal information to any company or organisation without your consent except to comply with laws or regulations of the government or other regulatory body, or to protect the rights of Lesters Nursery World. We will not send you any unsolicited advertising material.
Selected items can be reserved online with a 25% deposit. An approximate date will be required; the actual delivery date will be confirmed once the final payment has been settled. The outstanding balance will be required 5 working days before dispatch. The outstanding balance can be paid via BACS or PayPal.
Paying the outstanding balance
We will confirm account details once the order has been placed. The outstanding balance can be paid in full, or smaller frequent payments can be made if preferred. Items can only be dispatched once full payment has been received.
A registered PayPal account will be required. An invoice will be raised and sent to the selected Paypal account. Payment can be made via all major credit cards. Payment will only be accepted providing all PayPal guidelines have been met.
Cancellation policy for items on deposit
Any order reserved with a deposit can be cancelled up to 14 days after the order has been placed. The deposit will be refunded in full, on the basis that no goods have yet been dispatched. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0161 720 7227 should you wish to cancel your order. After this time deposits are non-refundable, except for medical reasons. Items cannot be changed once an order has been placed.
Delivery for items reserved with a deposit
An approximate delivery date will be required when an order is placed. This date is an approximate and a confirmed delivery date can be specified nearer to the time of delivery.
We offer free delivery for orders over £50 to all UK mainland addresses (please see ‘order & delivery’ for more information). Orders can be delivered on any working day, weekend deliveries can be arranged for most items but would incur additional delivery costs, please email or call us on 0161 720 7227 for a quote. We will not be able to provide delivery dates earlier than the advertised delivery timescale on the product page. Orders can only be dispatched to the specified delivery address from when the order is placed. Certain items cannot be reserved with a deposit, these items can be added to the basket at the same time and delivery will be made as per our usual terms and conditions. If preferred and where possible we can store these items and dispatch all items together.
